At the core of this new group’s mission will be support for a syndemic approach to ending the HIV epidemic in the US, which will entail cooperation with and advocacy for cooccurring epidemics that have an outsized impact on those who are living with or affected by HIV. The list of public health issues addressed by this group will be fluid and based on community need but will put particular emphasis on addressing sexually transmitted infections, viral hepatitis, drug overdose, mpox, tuberculosis, and COVID-19.
